First date. He said it first, I waited a couple more weeks. We belonged to a small organization and traveled overseas together about a month before our first date. We fell in love there, but didn't pick things up right away. We've been married seven years and I tell him every day.

9 hours.

I said it first to DH. Now married over 15 years. When you know you know and I was just done playing games. I said it and I didn't care about the consequences.

The typical time period is usually four to six months.

6 weeks here, too.

He said it first.

I said it back, and meant it, at 12 weeks.

My wife said it first - maybe a month in.

I was feeling petty great about us, but didn't want to jinx it (a previous SO had given me a ration of shit when I said it after 3 months). I was also concerned that I might be rebounding, and I'd been honest with my wife about that very early in the relationship. I think I took about another three or four weeks to come out and say it.

We've been together for three years now and are celebrating our first anniversary in about four weeks. Still on our honeymoon.

About 2 months when we were on a romantic long weekend together. He said it first.

8 months. But I knew he was crazy about me so I didn't sweat it (too much!). We're happily married now and he says it to me daily. I still remind him of how slow he was to say it!

Maybe 6 weeks? He said it first, but I remember it almost coming out when I said goodbye on the phone previous to that (similar to PP). FWIW our whole relationship moved faster than average (engaged less than a year after dating).

I think I said it first -- but we'd been very good/close friends for over a year before dating maybe 2 months? He was traveling and I said it without thinking when I hing up the phone. He said it the next time I saw him. No big deal, but mostly bec we had been close for so long (best friends almost) before dating. Now together 15yrs, married 10, still my best friend.

I am just curious to know how long it took for you and your partner (this could mean boyfriend/girlfriend, DH/DW, fiance, etc) to say "I love you". You are also welcome to throw in who said it first.
