You should go every year. There are a lot of people walking around with illnesses like hypertension, high cholesterol, etc and they have no idea.

Every year. It's covered by insurance and I go to the same doctor. I need frequent monitoring for thryoid and blood sugar levels anyway, so I prefer to make sure everything else is fine.

I do it every year or two. You kind of have to if you want to have a doctor on call in case you get sick.

+1 It's a good thing to do a full blood work up every year to make sure you are staying healthy. Most insurance companies pay for this type of preventative care.

Every year. That way you have a relationship with a doctor if you do get sick. Also the screening becomes important, things like cholesterol, thyroid.

I go every year because my health insurance covers it. So does DH. I'm just 32 but I think it's important to have a once over and also to have a good ongoing relationship with a doctor.

Never. If I'm not sick or needing something specific, I don't go in. I could see making an appointment every 3-5 yrs. just to get a cholesterol and blood pressure check. But if it ain't broke, I don't fix it.

Now that my ob/gyn only needs to do a PAP/HPV test every five years and I'm done having babies, I'm wondering if I should go to my GP for a yearly checkup? I feel funny scheduling an appointment when I don't have anything specific to ask, but I wonder if I should be doing it?
