We did not get same day approval. But we didn't ask for it either. Our cards came in the mail within a week.

Yes. You get approval then and can put your # in your flight reservation so it is in the system. The "interview" lasts about 30 seconds BTW.

Does anyone know if you get the global entry approval right after your scheduled interview? I have a trip id like to use it on so am trying to schedule accordingly
