They are interested in Great Smoky Mtns - can anyone suggest a charming southern town in NC between Rehoboth and Asheville? Also interested in Charleston SC - but that may be pushing it - Thanks!

First get them a map and make sure they actually understand the distances involved. Many Europeans I've met - even well travelled ones - forget how big the US is.



This. When I lived in Louisiana a bunch of European foreign language teachers at the school where my mom worked thought they were going to drive to California, see the sights, and drive back to Louisiana in the span of a five-day spring break.
