You know you are supposed to take the mouthpieces off and wash them, right?

My 3 year old has no problem drinking from it. I take mine everywhere too. No leaking problems.

As a teacher, I like the Camelbaks or other squirt bottles (ones you don't have to remove the entire top) because of the spill factor.

Just get an old school HDPE Nalgene screw top bottle. Those things *never* leak and won't leach BPA pr whatever toxin those new PS7 substitutes end up having. Win win.

Try contigo. We have no leaking problems and on some of the bottles you can drink right from the top w no straw or mouthpiece.

Eew. Doesn't sound like a good idea then. So the thing can leak too? All the reviews all seem to swear by saying it doesn't leak!

My dd doesn't chew her bottle now but the mouthpiece part of her klean kanteen does look a little worn from pulling to drink with her teeth. I am worried too if she has gotten use to biting the camelbak, she will not be able to use any other bottle and will keep biting on the thing. Anyone else has a cuter looking bottle than boring steel. That's what she is pestering me about!

We up have camelbaks for hiking and long bike rides.

Why does she want one for school?

I read from reviews that you have to bite it to drink. But doesn't that make it hard to drink and restrict water flow? Will it start to encourage straw chewing? (My sister had a horrid straw chewing habit and I could never share a drink with her!)

I have read reviews but no one seems to mention this or thoughts on this?
