I have seen Dr. Richard Fleitas in DC for some time and continue for followup check-ins now and again. Very comfortable approach and never judgmental - an issue I've found with other therapists...

OP again. Definitely looking for more classic talk therapy. Would appreciate the names of the counselors used, if anyone is willing to share.

"Interview" at least 4 therapist before settling on one. What kind of therapy do you want? Are you open to New Agey type approaches or do you want a more classic talk therapy experience? Will you also be seeing a Psychiatrist and doing meds? If so, maybe you want a rec from the p.doc

PP again. you need to shop around because you need the right person. not someone to be your friend and listen to your woes but someone who actually gives you good, analytical advice on how to change yourself.

Does anyone have specific experience with Drs. Maureen Lyon, Jennifer McEwan, Or Sundar Cook? Or perhaps Shane Fagan or Fran Hicks? Looking for a therapist with experience in anxiety and depression.
