We usually do at least one or two after-school activities during the course of a school year (Mad Science, lego robotics, etc.). They usually meet once a week from 3:30-4:45, and then my son walks over to Kids After Hours in the same building until 5:30 or so when I come. It's been worth it for us for him to be able to do that kind of cool enrichment stuff. But they're usually only once a week for 8 weeks or so.

We just do aftercare, DD loves the playground time, reading and drawing.

For those of you with children in aftercare do you also sign up for some of the after school activities? Or do you find that DC is happy with the downtime at aftercare/the aftercare has its own fun activities? We have a DD who is entering K and we're kind of confused about this. Plus it's a lot of money to pay for both at the same time!
