Why does anyone even bother with the blue dye tests? They are notorious for Evans and seemingly false positives.
FRERs are really the best tests out there. Pricey, but worth it for peace of mind.

The earlier you should be getting any positive is 8dpo. By 10dpo you have a 50-50 chance of accuracy which increases to something like 75% by 10dpo and 80 something by 12dpo. So basically the longer you wait the better. I usually try to wait till 10 or 11 dpo. Good luck op

Yes you are correct. But I swear the ONLY time a negative frer had turned positive a few days later was when I was pregnant. And I scrutinize those suckers so no chance I missed a faint line within the window. Also...don't ask why I don't toss my used tests. I usually just angrily shove them back inside the box. At least in that one instance it paid off.

I took a target early result blue dye hpt yesterday at 6dpo (dumb I know) and obviously it was negative. I had a temperature dip and some cramping today at 7dpo which I figured was a good sign that something is going on. Curious, I looked at the yesterday's test and it had turned positive. I got excited and took an frer but it was negative so I guess it was an evap. I feel so dumb!
The only reason why I got excited is that the last time I was pregnant (but ended in m/c), I took an frer around this time and it also was negative until a few days later when I happened to look at it. That's what tipped me off to test and it was positive. But I think blue dye tests are more susceptible to evaps anyway so maybe I'm comparing apples to oranges.
Anyway, I'm done acting like a crazy-and-desperately-wants-to-be pregnant lady for the night.
