Is there a rule against being a jack ass? We should have one. I know he loves his pet but a little consideration would go a long way. Dogs do not belong everywhere

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, I would be a little shocked if I saw a non-service dog in the library. I'm just wondering what makes the owner a jack ass? What precisely is the harm to others?

I would LOVE to see dogs in the library!

Is your dog a highly trained service animal, that you need for a real, serious, and honest need? Then sure.

Otherwise, no.

Your dog is a pet. Pets belong at home.

Or in Georgetown...

I'd say sure, but I think other people say no.

I don't think it's allowed here.

No! I don't even take my kid everywhere. What makes you think dogs belong "as long as the food is not sold."

Or Paris.

But not here.

Please don't. Other than service dogs, pets do not belong in places of businesses unless they are businesses that cater to pets. Leave your pet at home if you are visiting businesses.

No. Do you really think you can just take your dog to Barnes and Noble, clothing stores, DSW, doctor offices?
