This is how it is done! I couldn't imagine not having my TV mounted on the wall anymore!

Who purchases entertainment centers anymore? Most of them won't even fit the TV size I have LOL!

I like it OP. It offers a lot of storage and would like nice as a focal point on a wall. That said, I think it is WAY overpriced for what it is. Check out Ikea - they have similar components that you can put together to get the storage and shelving similar to the Pottery Barn one you like.

They are really outdated. In case you missed the thread, everyone puts the tv over the mantle now. If no mantle, then it should be on a cabinet. Do not get a media cabinet.

Entertainment centers are totally out of style. So are overfilled spaces/walls. Mount the tv.

Yep way out of style. Get a cabinet and hang the tv over it. No need to box your tv in anymore.

No they are not out of style. Certain types of home entertainment centers are out of style due to their design, but nicely proportioned home entertainment centers that have a book-case built-in look will never go out of style.
