every time you think of lighting up think of your children. My dear friend's husband has lung cancer. Great guy but I am sure he wishes he never started smoking because this illness is hard on him and his family. You can do this..you need to do this!!!

A few more days. You can do it! The best motivation is knowing that if you don't start again, you'll never have to go through the hell of quitting again.

Thanks!

I am using the patch, which is taking the edge off, but good to know that 3-7 days seems to be the worst.

and thanks for the much needed laugh 13:43

I had an easy time quitting because I took Wellbutrin, so as time passed, the urge to smoke becamse non-existent. The gum is also a good alternative.

Start doing something different. If you change your ENTIRE routine dramatically, it won't be such a struggle. Like bike to work, take a long walk at lunch, wear lipstick, just keep changing it up.

One week after quitting was the hardest time for me. Then it got better after a few days. Hang in there!

Based on my experience - Between 3-5 days the rage should decrease some. Then after about 7 days it should only happen on rare occasion.

- 6 months cigarette-free

Get an anti-anxiety drug from your doctor.

I quit smoking 14 years ago, and today I really, really feel like killing my boss.

Congrats!! The first few days are really hard, but you can do this!!! I don't have any advice. I quit as soon as I found out I was pregnant and haven't had one since, but that doesn't sound like it would work for you.

I really want this to work and am determined to power through, but it seems to be getting harder not easier. Also, my productivity at work has plummeted!

Any advice from those of you have been there/done that?

I have been chewing gum, drinking water, walking etc...ahhhhhh
