We moved from 1300 SF house to a 6000 SF house. Our heating and cooling bills went up about 30 a month.

I live in 1200 sq feet currently. I want more space. Ideally, i'd like 2000-2250 sq ft. I cannot IMAGINE needing SEVEN THOUSAND square feet. Unless I had two kids PER bedroom in that giant house, I'd be pissed to have to heat and cool that much. Even if I had that kind of cash to drop on a house (which I don't, obvs) that isn't the kind of place I'd pick.

Yes, it was built in 2014. There are a couple of things I would've done differently in the kitchen, but overall this is the most tasteful new build I have seen almost ever - there was one in Chevy Chase Village recently, maybe on Newlands St., that also was lovely. And this is coming from someone who hates new construction generally.

I like a lot of things about it. And the general idea. But way way too huge (and $$!). No need for separate MBAs.

LOTS of stone out front. Maybe they need to have the landscaper come back to soften it up.

We need the scaled down $1-2M version for the "common man".

See for yourself. Cleveland Park is the logical extension, IMHO, for someone with kids who wants walkable and urban but wants space.
