My understanding is that the only risk in conceiving again right away is that you might miscarry again. I don't think likelihood of birth defects or anything like that goes up, but I could be wrong.
41 and a half. I did all the regular testing that my regular ob-gyn and my ob doctor recommended and everything checked out as normal/fine (except for my age). I know that there are other, more unusual problems that could only be diagnosed by a specialist but after only one miscarriage, no one is recommending more testing at this point. i didn't have the fetus/tissue sampled--again, after only one miscarriage the doctors didn't advise it. For background, my mom had me at 43... so I hoping I had a chance at this...

Period then returned after weaning and I got pregnant again a few years later with another healthy child (kids now 3 and 9 months). Since your period came back easily I would go ahead. Good luck!
