We did surgery followed by 3 weeks of radiation for a brain tumor (technically a bony skull tumor pushing into the grain). We're 7 months post and our dog has had numerous setbacks (brain swelling). Hard to tell if it's linked but I wish the radiologist better explained the risks before I proceeded. No adverse reactions during the procedure tho.

Our dog had an operable sarcoma. We did a major surgery and she got three good weeks before it came roaring back. The surgery was very expensive but she was happy and apparently quasi-healthy for the three weeks. I would try to figure out how invasive/fast-moving his cancer is before proceeding.

Anyone have any experience with radiation therapy for a tumor in a pet? Considering palliative treatment (2-4 times) for an inoperable sarcoma for our little guy. All recommendations have been to go ahead and do it. Guess I just wanted to see if anyone else has been through it with a pet. Naturally, I'm scared.
