Urban
Diverse
Attracted to Jesuit schools because of their philosophy/mission of service and giving back
Decent brand name - we are actually in the Midwest right now (originally from DC but moved here 3 years ago for a job switch) and she wants a college that will allow her to work outside of the Midwest
Looking to do marketing
Anything above 3000 students

Anything coming to mind?

Start with the undergrad business school rankings and go from there. I'm not sure you'll get everything (not sure about Jesuit) but there are plenty of urban business schools offering marketing majors that also have a name brand that carries.

First one I thought of was Notre Dame -- their business school has risen through the ranks lately so there's employability outside the midwest; though that would put you in a college town and not in an urban setting and I don't imagine it's too diverse. I would post this list of criteria on college confidential -- those people are all over the college options and I bet you'll get a half dozen suggestions offhand.

I doubt Notre Dame is going to be adorable...OP what's your budget?

Oops! Should be affordable. Autocorrect...

Expensive and sucky aid. But everything else.

This was me, 10 years ago. Heart set on ivies, but no financial aid came through. Went to a state school and after a little therapy for depression and some strong friendships, I had a great time, got a good degree, and am doing fine.

Yes, she knew. However we still looked at the off chance she could get some fin aid. We are really struggling to find adorable options that she likes and with her criteria in mind.

Has anyone dealt with this? DD's top 5 choices are all priced way too steeply and unless some serious financial aid comes through, it's not going to happen. Of course, the worst part is, is that based on her stats, she could get into all of them pretty easily.

She really, really disliked high school (despite trying her absolute hardest to make it work) and now is faced with having limited college options and I think is feeling really, really defeated...
