We have the pyrex round set and the glasslock set that has square and rectangle shapes.

We use the pyrex set way way more often. Not sure why, they are just the ones we always reach for. The lids are easier to get on and off.

The lids do wear out eventually though and get cracked. Anchor Hocking sells just the replacement lids for their sets and they are an exact match for the Pyrex glass. So I now have Pyrex glass bases with a mix of original Pyrex lids and replacement Anchor Hocking lids.

I got a giant set of different sizes from target of Pyrex. Like 30 bucks. It's great.

I love my glasslock and have had no breakage issues. Pyrex is ok but can leak.

I tried to switch entirely but find it challenging (or just not used to it yet). The glass is heavy and it's hot when heated. And for my 4 year old, it's likely, he will drop it on his feet. So, I use glass when I know I will use it to heat it up in the microwave. For refrigerator storage, I use the fancy thick plasticware. It will take me a while to switch over.

Both are fine. And so much easier to clean than plastic containers!

Whatever brand you get e.g., Anchor or Pyrex make sure it says it's safe for the microwave.

I have both Glasslock and Pyrex and the Glasslock have chipped within a couple of years. The pyrex wears like iron. I have stainless steel containers for lunchboxes and picnics.

and really like them. The only downside is that the lids don't always function as advertised. That's not a big deal to me as I only use them for storage at home so I just keep them upright and don't worry about leaks.

I just bought two glass lunch-sized containers today as I worry about heating up leftovers in the microwave using plastic containers when at work. I've worried about it for a long time but the glass containers are kind of expensive. Finally took action.

Think this is the brand Costco sells.

Glass is fantastic for at-home storage. I use it for lunches that need to be microwaved as well, but the glass is heavy to cart around. Just be aware that most of the glass storage sets have plastic lids. Not an issue for me, but something to know going in.

Look into GlassLock brand (made in Korea), you can find them at Marshalls or TJ Maxx, either as a set or individual pieces. I use glass and stainless steel containers, glass is great but is heavy when you need to take them outside of the house.

Thinking about making the switch, at least for most home food storage (leftovers, food prepping, etc). Is there a system or set that anyone can recommend?
