Lamb, by Michael Moore.

Fluke, by him, too.

The Stupidist Angel, by him.

...anything by him.

+1 for Carl Hiaasen.

Also Terry Pratchett (esp Good Omens)

Agree with the terry pratchett rec. books with Vimes character are are my fav. But you can't go wrong with the very first book to get started. Ah, the wizards. And good omens, lord, one year i bought everyone I knew that book for the holidays! If you like the first Discworld book you read, you will be set for a good number of years without running out of humorous reading. And also philosophical.

Those who know and love the Color of Magic, my daughter's middle name is flower in another language. I sometimes add "two" in front of it.

Also, if you somehow missed the plum bandwagon, the Stephanie Plum novels by Evanovich are great, super funny.

I'm reading To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis - laugh out loud funny and extremely well written. Along the lines of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy" which is also hilarious.

I love the Frost series by Wingfield. Mysteries, not too graphic, but Frost always makes me laugh.

I loved BJ Novak's book-- it's short stories and some of them are very funny.

I need a funny book to read. I love David Sedaris and Bill Bryson; I'm looking for something along those lines, but would also love a funny novel. Ideas?
