I've frozen spaghetti and tomato sauce b/f with no ill effects. Just let them thaw and reheated in a skillet, but you could probably use a microwave.

Why don't you boil a bunch of pasta and mix it with an alfredo sauce (not too heavily coated) and then freeze in lots of small containers. Then for dinner you can heat up and add some microwaved frozen vegetables, or some canned beans, some red sauce, some pesto, some cooked chicken, etc. for different meals.

There is a top chef episode about making pasta for frozen dinners. Maybe some tips there? If I remember correctly, undercooking the pasta was key.

I've used a table top "skillet" before. It looks like a baking dish, only it plugs into a wall. It was $30. http://www.amazon.com/Oster-CKSTSKFM12-12-Inch-Electric-Skillet/dp/B004P2OL7C/ref=sr_1_sc_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1406472808&sr=1-1-spell&keywords=electricskillet

I've never done it with plain pasta, but lots of pasta dishes freeze and reheat well.

I make that all the time (use rotisserie chicken in place of the turkey) and freeze the leftovers. I've pulled it straight from the freezer to the microwave and it comes out fine. Not as good as fresh of course, but great when your in a time crunch.

Also, Trader Joe's used to sell pre-cooked pasta in the frozen section - not sure if they still carry it though.

We are about to renovate our kitchen and want to short cut some things (microwave, one pot options, etc) Is there a way to boil pasta and then freeze and reheat in the microwave * maybe adding a little water??

Any tricks would be really appreciated!
