What you all are missing is that OP, who presumably is an adult, responded to being "nominated" to post on FB and did so. That says everything about why she might have raised an insecure daughter.

Ah, yes I live with some, including a teenager. OP's daughter is 18, not 13. She's old enough to vote, go to college and join the military. "Exploding" over some FB post where her mother shares her love for her daughter is a sign of great immaturity.

Tell and show her you lover her; don't post about it.

Facebook user and occaisional status poster, but I never share feelings on facebook that should be communicated directly.

I find it strange that work occurred to you before your daughter, but it doesn't matter what I think. It does matter what your daughter thinks. Has there been previous tension over this issue?

1. I have an amazing husband who I love
2. I work with bright, funny people whose company I truly enjoy
3. I love my daughter with all my heart
