+1. Maple syrup adds a nice flavor, and also adds some sweetness.

I don't like the taste of honey.

So...I did a combo of various granola recipes and it turned out pretty good! Nice and crunchy, too. But it's not in clusters (is that what you mean by binding it?).

PP, next time I might try the apple juice idea.

I use apple juice to bind and add sweetness. I add a drizzle sunflower oil to stop the mix sticking. Any oil will do though.
