The smart comment of "what are you talking about" is not necessary. If you had read the post I clearly stated I just switched to dcps to keep same schedule as my daughter. If all you have to add to the discussion is smart remarks please don't reply.

But to answer your question 8am is earliest you can drop off at BMPV

For the previous poster thanks for correcting me. I wasn't aware it's only for specials need students. As a single parent I just feel like before & after care and bus service are necessities for early childhood and elementary ages. But I'm realistic to the fact the budget prolly doesn't allow it.

If you're a DCPS teacher you must know that in boundary schools do not provide bus service. What are you talking about? It's only for students whose IEP requires it.

So what time can you drop off for breakfast at Bruce Monroe?

Bus service is ONLY provided for special needs kids.

I know this isn't answering your question, but what number were you on WL? Curious how fast WL is moving. We would consider going there if we got in.

How early do you need before care to be? I ask because when our son got into Barnard, I worried about the same thing because they don't offer beforecare either. But turns out children ate welcome to arrive as early as 8 am. For the early ed grades that meant bringing my son to his classroom at 8 am. His teacher and/or assistant teacher were always there. You should find out when school opens and if it is early enough for your needs. They have to open earlier than 8:40 because schools must offer breakfast.

I know this sounds obvious, but have you asked the school? I remember several sources said they did not have before care but I asked when I did a tour and they said they did starting at 7. Even the MySchoolDC website said they didn't.
