I'm 40, have 3 kids and have been a size 6-8 for about the past 15 years.
I'm still in that size range but over the past 5 years I've gained about 5-10 pounds, mostly around my waist. I have a roll. (ugh)
I don't eat a ton to begin with so losing weight but just cutting calories has never worked.
In a desperate attempt to get rid of the flab around my middle I cut out all sugar (aside from fruit) and all carbs (aside from fruit).
3 weeks later and I'm down 3-4 pounds. My clothing is looser. Mostly, I FEEL much better.
I didn't loose anything for 2 weeks. Now for the past 5 days my weight is down consistently by 3 pounds.
This sounds insignificant but it's huge for me. Low calorie diets do nothing for me because I don't eat that much to begin with.
Cutting out most carbs and everything processed worked!
I'm eating fruit, vegetables, nuts, meat, cheese and eggs.
