Assume DC can get in at either school and the higher cost at Wake is not a factor, how are the schools different? They share a #23 ranking, so I assume they are close - what ate the big differences?
a couple of things:
- I think Wake is even more Greek than UVA
- UVA is a little more parochial than Wake because 2/3rds of the kids come from Virginia (including some pretty sheltered ROVA kids)
- Both are in the ACC but UVA has somewhat more successful teams. Wake's athletic complex is impressive though
- Wake has a reputation of being demanding
My DC loved UVA (not accepted, would have gone), liked Wake (accepted but chose not to go).
