I really don't know. That stuff isn't even maple syrup (which, if you get the real stuff, is pretty heavenly), it's artificially flavored and colored high fructose corn syrup. Gross.
I wasn't just using the Aunt Jemima (sp?) syrup, but the pancake mix!!! Or whatever brand it was. Convenient when all you have to do is add water, yes, but it so, SO pales in comparison to those awesome homemade pancakes with fresh fruit. I froze the extra pancakes, and my toddler's dinner last night was a warmed pancake topped with a fried egg. The pancakes are thick, almost like a biscuit, and ridiculously good with a runny egg on top. If I weren't watching my calories, that would have been my dinner too!
