We usually do tilapia or cod, season the fish with a bit of lime, garlic, and maybe cumin and chile powder, and grill. Serve with chopped cabbage and avocado, and a simple sauce made by mixing a bit of chopped adobe peppers in sauce (from a can) with plain yogurt. It's one of my favorite dinners, and my kids love them too.

I have used tilapia, halibut, and red snapper. I used to marinate then in buttermilk, lime juice and cilantro and fry them. Now I bake them with some salt pepper and limes. I always use corn tortillas and top it with cabbage, avocados, and pickles red onions are a must and a black bean and corn salsa.

Any firm mild white fish will do. Dust with cumin and chile, I sautee, top with cabbage, lime and if I have time. Tomatillo avocado sauce, otherwise sour cream mixed with chipotle and lime works.corn tortillas.

I've had good ones with mahi and tilapia. Cod would work too.

Damn you, now I'm craving fish tacos and I just had them last Taco Tuesday.

So delicious. I make a topping with sour cream, mayo, cilantro, green onions, lime juice and salt. I then top with chopped cabbage.

My family of super picky eaters loves it.

PP - I always bake, never fry.

A firm grilled white fish, not fried, spiced with taco seasoning.

Corn tortillas of course.

Shredded cabbage. Diced avacado with a squeeze of lime juice. Just a hint of a spicy mayo based dressing. A few diced tomatos and cilantro.

That crumbled white cheese that looks like feta.
