Will they let you buy a small dorm room fridge and keep it near your desk or in your office? I did that when I was pregnant and teaching.

Cheese?
Hummus?

DC1 eats a cheese and cucumber sandwich with a little yogurt container for dessert that I keep cool by sticking a small ice pack in his lunch box. Even at 3:30pm the yogurt is still cool.

Hahaha!

I was wondering what strange pre-school or camp puts those kind of food restrictions in place

What about veggie wraps with shredded cheese?

I just assumed it was my kids camp. JCC. No meat, no nuts, no refrigerator, no microwave. I do sunbutter and Israeli chocolate spread, dairy ice packs, and thermos'.

Invest in a good lunch box/bag and some ice packs. If you have your own office you can also get a dorm fridge pretty cheap and it might be worth it.

A thermos is your friend.
pasta
rice pilaf
couscous
cold pasta salad
jambalaya
red beans and rice
mac & cheese
soup (a cold one like gazpacho would be extra good!)
hummus
quesadillas
zucchini noodles
steamed veggies

I assume the problem is protein or main dish:

Yogurt, cheese, leftover pizza, quesadillas, hummous
