Thank you. I called them, and he said to "call ahead" and then call again when I get the bill. It's not clear but it seems that in the end, I'll be paying $200.

I took the test back in fall of 2012 so things may have changed since then. My insurance covered some of it and then I got a bill from the company that does the test for the balance, which was about $600 or $700. When I called to pay the balance, they said that I only had to pay a portion of that if I paid that day. I don't remember the exact amount, but it was around $200.

I was told $750 out of pocket if insurance doesn't cover.

I've heard that you will not have to pay more than $200-$300 out of pocket for this test even if insurance won't cover it. My insurance won't cover it because I used a young donor egg, even though I'm AMA.

Does anyone know how to go about arranging for the test privately, and at the discount?
