Anyone watching this still? I'm liking season 2 way more than the first 1 though it is still a bit too predictable.

This show cannot get more cliched anymore!! Every episode Bassam comes up with unique / diplomatic solutions and everything is hunky dory!! Please, give me a break.

As someone said, there needs to be more tough choices.... things going wrong... etc.

Do you think Bassum is the father of his nephew (the one who just got married)? Just wondering if the long ago love affair with his brother's wife secretly produced a child that Bassum doesn't know about...yet.

Very crappy and so dissapointed right now.

There needs to be more 'tough choices'.

Jamal's wife needs to assert her pressure and sway him more, while seducing Bassam due to their past.

Bassam's having his way without any issues and it is making the show boring. very unlike fx.

I don't know my son's best friend is Lebanese and he looks a lot like him. Big blue eyes and light brown hair. His mom is very dark and father is much lighter. People come in all shades. Come to think of it, my son also has a friend who is first generation Greek with dark eyes and hair but he has an older brother with blonde hair and very light blue eyes. Mom is dark, dad looks like your typical All American Male-blonde blue eyes, tan-he was born and raised in Greece.

definitely.

I think they'll have her step out on bassam with the state dept envoy.

Her and the son are useless.

it is also tough to take the state dept envoy seriously as i see him and go 'andy' everytime he comes on screen.

he's played by the same actor that was Andy on Weeds.

I thought the pilot was great, but the second and third episodes were a bit of a letdown. It's still interesting, but another part of me feels a bit guilty for enjoying a show with such 1 dimensional, stereotypical Muslim characters.

I have it on the DVR but haven't had a chance to sit down and watch it yet. Looks promising.

Agree. I love that the whole story is so original for tv. Doubt that any woman would be as naïve as the American wife (Molly).

Anyone watching this?

I think it is being executed poorly but it has so much potential - I would say a guilty pleasure because I enjoy watching it even though the acting is really poor
