Pretty sure its rainy season there at that time, but apparently it just makes things more lush looking during that time, though you might have issues with roads being washed out. I went in dry season and things were kind of dusty (and it did still rain occasionally).

Hurricanes are not a problem in Costa Rica but rain is in the Southern portion. You want to stay North. We did that a couple of years ago and had a great time, some rain but not much, very pleasant weather on the whole.

Thinking about the west coast. Should I be concerned about hurricanes?
