Safeway or Giant probably have them too. Look near the pickles or sometimes in "ethnic" food:

Wow I had no idea they were capers! They did taste peppery. I will go to world market to find then!

Yep capers. Tiny seeds - kind of pinkish/redish flesh? Not the tiny little caper balls you probably know about, but real fresh ones. I think they also sell them by the jar at Whole Foods.

These are not olives, they are caper berries. I got a big $9.99 jar of "Mediterranean" olives at World market and it contained some caper berries, garlic and pepper.
I may have seen just the caper berries in jars, but don't remember where.
