Really??? Where?

We live in GReat Falls, so it was the McLean one. But I am sure that they all offer the same cakes in all the stores. I would imagine.

Try Chris Furin. His family owned Furin's in Georgetown which closed a couple of years ago, but he now does custom cakes and they are amazing. He did a cake for my DD's birthday and we were all blown away. It looked like something on one of those cake competition shows.

He's in Bethesda, I think. Email is chris at cakesbychrisfurin dot com.

DD is having a very small group of girls sleep over this weekend to celebrate turning 10. Because she's not having a big party, I'm more inclined to spring for a fancier-than-usual b-day cake and she has been talking about a medieval theme. (Think "Books of Bayern" by Shannon Hale) I'm not a good enough baker to try to whip up something pinteresty myself.
Any leads on a good place to order a fancy castle-themed cake for this Sunday in Montgomery County (ideally, SS or Kensington)? Thanks!
