Do you have a dutch oven? Do it basically the same way you would in a crockpot, but put it in your oven.

I would make the same recipe in a dutch oven in a low temp oven for several hours.

The Tyler Florence recipe is not 30 hours of cooking. It is 6 hrs of cooking. No idea where the 30 hrs comes from...unless you're marinating overnight. But you don't have to.

This is my dream.

I tried this recipe, it took about 8 hours in the oven and didn't have much flavor.

Southern style pork from ATK is 5 hours total cooking time.

Carnita Mexican style pulled pork from ATK is about 3 hour total cooking time.

Yes, you can braise the meat in the oven or on the stovetop for pulled pork. There are plenty of recipes online.

Sorry- typo- (am using a clumsy new keyboard) - my slow cooker is broken, not borken.

I got a big hunk of pork yesterday at safewsy - not a pork loin but a less expensive cut because I was hoping to make pulled pork in my slow cooker.

However, I discovered my slow cooker is borken so I cannot use that. Is there another way to make pulled pork? Or something else I can do with the meat before it goes bad?
