The first ACT in the fall is September 13, 2014....plenty of time to prepare take it and assess results prior to filing the college applications.

Nope, not too late. Usually it only takes about 3 weeks to get the scores back, so he should have them by the end of October at the very latest.

DS was pleased with his SAT scores, but wants to try the ACT just for comparison. He's a rising senior and just decided he wants to take it a few days ago, so obviously it will have to be taken his senior year. If he takes it in September, would that be too late for admissions purposes?
