I think fat people who complain about being rejected are often getting rejected by thinner, fitter people. But they don't want to date fatter ones. It's stupid. You can't call someone else "shallow" or be pissed that they won't date you if you're being shallow and not keeping an open mind too. (Same goes for if you're not that attractive but only pursue very attractive people - it's hypocritical to expect others to be more forgiving than you are yourself.)
Just something I've noticed with a few people I know.
I'm 5'8" and don't always date short guys because I figure there are a zillion women shorter than me who could date them. I'm fine dating someone my own height, though. Dating someone who is actually shorter than me feels awkward and weird. I don't rule it out, but it's not my ideal. Flashes me back to 5th grade, when I hit my full height and the guys my age didn't catch up until 11th grade.
