It also matters what type/quality of arganoil you are using. I bought 100 percent from amazon.com. I have very long hair and apply only six drops to the bottom half of it when dry. I agree with the comment about putting in on just after a shampoo. Then I use 12 drops. I put the drops in my hands, massage it between the hands, then flip my hair over and very gently cover the ends, moving my hands around a lot. Works beautifully. I love it also on my skin and recently started using in on my nails when doing a manicure.
