If you are using greens, add a bit of citrus (splash of OJ, etc.) to release the nutrients from the greens - otherwise your body only gets about 60% of it.

I love crazy people who believe this crap.

Almond milk, blueberries, strawberries, spinach. DD is a big fan!

Banana and peanut butter, spinach with anything. Freeze the banana to make the texture better than with ice (if you have a blender that can handle it, like the Vitamix).

For flavor, we use coconut milk or almond milk.

As for texture... that's a blender issue. A vitamix (at about $500) is how you can smooth out just about any fruit or veggie.... including kale.

We also love to add pineapple to smoothies or even a little apple juice will even out the bitterness of a veggie.

I picked up the following fruits this weekend (mostly from the farmers market) and need ideas to mix them into smoothies for my texture sensitive toddler. Strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, bananas, and peaches. I also have coconut yogurt, tasty honeycrisp applesauce, and spinach. So far I've done the following, all with yogurt:
strawberries & peaches
strawberries, blueberries, and bananas
blueberries, bananas, and spinach
blueberries & applesauce
strawberries & appleasauce

Other combos? Ideas for what would taste good with the watermelon?
