Might be slightly out of your price range but I love everything Ippolita.

Guess you missed OP's request to NOT suggest etsy.

Guess you didn't do so well at reading comprehension in school. Try reading the op's post again... Slowly. Read it aloud if that helps.

Google James Avery

I have oval gold and silver hoops from James Avery that I love!

Not exactly what you asked, but I like to go to jewelry stores to see things in person--amaryllis in Baltimore, Betsy Fischer, tiny jewel box and Mia Gemma in DC.

Oh my goodness! I have some of those little sand dollar necklaces from when I was a baby and child (I don't think I ever wore them; it was more just having the keepsake I think). Too bad they're too ridiculously tiny to wear! (OP)

I like Sundance jewelry. They have a pretty large price range.

I would like to start wearing more jewelry and I would need to buy some pieces as I don't own anything in a style I like anymore. I would prefer to buy just one or two items of better quality than the average Made in China stuff from the department store, so slightly more expensive is okay (like $200 for earrings or a bracelet). I have no idea where to start since I know what I like when I see it, but I couldn't really articulate it now.

What are your favorite step-up brands of jewelry that you wear? And unless you have specific links, please no Etsy! There are great artisans on there, but who can find them when you don't know precisely what you're looking for?
