I hate blues but that is a nice, fresh, crisp shade.

Not crazy about the yellow.

Wouldn't like to see them in rooms that are close together.

Me too!! We almost bought the wrong house because I had an emotional reaction to the color scheme. Ours was beige and so boring. I guess that knife could cut both ways, but I way prefer colors.

I have that blue on one wall in my family room. The color looks incredible next to white.

I don't like that yellow - yellows are tough to pull off.

The blue is fine. But agree with others not to have a bunch of different colors.

i think color is fine as long as it flows together. Having one room yellow, one blue and one green just makes it look like a fun house.

I agree you should do what you like.

I think the colours are fine- it's the orange/cranberry/forest green/purple that looks 'wth were you thinking'

It's your house. Paint it what you like.

I personally prefer the colors you've selected. Those greys and neutrals are fine if you're selling/renting your house.

I think if you use a bunch of bold colors, it may look outdated. I think if you had that blue in your dining room and grays or white on all the other downstairs rooms, it would be elegant.

I'm getting ready to paint the interior of my house which is now painted neutral colors. Lately it seems like very muted, earthy colors are "in" and while I like them, I really prefer deeper colors--not quite jewel tones but almost. Are these colors outdated now though? Examples of what I like:
