We've had Erie auto and homeowners insurance for a very long time. We've had one minor claim (our fault) and one totaling of our car by a drunk driver. The customer service was excellent. I will admit that I haven't compared rates in a long time, but I think they're worth a call.

Amica. Amica. Amica. I've been with them for twenty years. Super responsive. Not a single complaint.

I've been super happy with progressive!!! Cheaper than Geico and they were there for me when I had an accident. They NEVER raise my rates. I have them for home owners insurance too.

Well, now they are handling the one actual claim we've had in 15 years poorly, so we're back in the market. Any recommendations for auto insurance that is both inexpensive and doesn't treat its customers like total crap? We would also probably combine our home and umbrella policies, so would love to hear about positive experiences there too.

We don't qualify for USAA. TIA!

not a geico-fan, but I had two claims under them and everything was super fast, easy, smooth, and car was fixed good as new.

I'm not with geico because they dropped me due to my two claims - though i've been a happy progressive customer for 3 years now (however i have heard their claims service isn't so good).

I have friends with State Farm and they seem to like it. I don’t have any details, though.
