No! DS got body spray (Axe, I think) as a gift for Christmas from his grandparents. He's 8. He has 2 teenage male cousins who were getting the same for Christmas and his g'parents didn't want him to feel left out. It went straight into the trash once we were home, but I'm afraid this is going to be a yearly gift.

If I were going to perfume a toddler (which I am not, btw) it would have to be with something like a very faintly, naturally scented lotion.

This can't be a real post, or she's from Long Island.

Well how else is he going to pick up girls? His mom never lets him take his tricycle out alone!

Absolutely not! I have two 12 year olds who started begging for this foul stank at age 10. I caved at 12. It's awful. Absolutely NOT for a young child.

I love the way my kids smell - naturally!

If the child bathes with sufficient regularity he probably smells fine, and in my opinion body sprays, especially cheap ones, smell pretty awful anyway so I certainly wouldn't think someone using them smelled any better than they did normally.

Unless it is very subtle, body spray of any sort strikes me as weird and tacky.

It usually smells fake & overpowering, and it often aggravates other people's allergies or sensitivities.

I understand using a small amount of quality perfume or cologne for a formal event, but for everyday it seems unnecessary to have a signature scent -- especially for a toddler.

regular bathing should solve any "smell" issue with a 21/2 year old. Very odd!

I think it is odd, but her choice. Not something that I would do.

My neighbor told me she bought Axe body spray for her 2 1/2 year old son- so that he smells good. She honestly doesn't think this is weird. We both live in the dc area and she gave me permission to post this to see which one of is is "correct"- weird of not. Also- she is more on the body spray in general, she just picked Axe because it was cheap- but the question is more body spray, not Axe brand.
