I tend to binge eat when I'm starving so 5:2 didn't sit well with me.
Whole30 you can eat as much as you want, except for certain types of food. I feel better on this food plan and I'm getting to know what causes me to bloat up personally.

Subject: Whole 30 or 5:2?
I'm on day 11 of a whole 30 and have lost 6 lbs. DH started his about 5 days before me so I did have a little head start but wasn't 100% compliant. We both highly recommend it. It really doesn't feel limiting at all. And we are not people who diet successfully.

I'm on day 21 of Whole 30. I tried intermittent fasting a few times this winter.
Definitely go with Whole 30, especially since fruits and vegetables are so fresh right now. I see it as really impacting my food choices positively when I'm done. I'm never hungry.

Well-- depends on you. I'm the kind of person who is crazy grumpy and can pass out if I don't have enough food--so the 5:2 diet would be really hard for me on those two 500 calorie days. So if you're like me choose the whole 30. But on that diet you can eat beans and carbs and sugar. If you're the type that gets all angry and frustrated by being limited on the foods you can/can't eat even if you're satisfied--choose 5:2.
