Son at VCU. Next year tuition is $5500/semester. He's in a group house year-round off-campus at $450/month. Pretty darn affordable.

Out of state tuition is more than double that, however.

I don't mean to be rude but all of this is available on the schools' websites. As to question of dance, I defer to other parents.

One aspect of VA's in-state system is that after two years at a community college, there is an opportunity for students to get guaranteed entry into one of the four year colleges that are considered highly competitive such as UVA or William and Mary.

is a good state for tuition costs. A lot of really good schools too. I have know knowledge of any fine arts or performing arts programs of note.
