NO.

I would worry about illness and the water.

That is not even considering kidnappings, drug violence and all the other fun that Mexico offers.

Have not done this, but are the nightwakings/night crying more stressful because you don't want other guests to hear? I think I would be very stressed by worrying about disturbing others, but it would depend on the hotel setup.

One thing to consider is the effect that travel might have on your 2.5 year old. We traveled after DC2 was born, and DC1 had a really hard time since she was already dealing with the addition of a sibling. She got really homesick.

Sayulita. We'd be there with family so there'd be a lot of extra hands to help out with the baby and out 2.5 year old. We moved across the country when the 2.5 year old was 7 weeks old so I have some idea of being out of my element with a young baby. Thanks for all of the input.

We had the opportunity to do this and didn't.

We did Mexico at 6-7 months (once baby was sleeping through night). 3 months is a little early but, depending on baby and your personality, could be fun but probably not relaxing. Sleep deprivation.

We stayed at an upscale resort that supplied us with the bottle sanitizer plus bottle warmer. We washed all his bottles using bottled water, then sanitized. I stopped breastfeeding at 6 months...if you're exclusively breastfeeding it could eliminate this hassle. I had to use a breast pump until I stopped at 6 months so wouldn've had to lug that with me if so.

What part of Mexico?

We took our 6 week old to an all-inclusive resort and it was great. I was breast feeding but even if you are not, there is always bottled water available at the resorts. We took a pack n' play and would set it up on the beach either under an umbrella or with a blanket over it.

Check the travel warnings. Lots of kidnappings depending on where you go.

If you're breastfeeding, then yes. Because having to worry about clean water to add to formula would not make for a relaxing vacation.

I did it.

I assume you're trying to fit a trip into your maternity leave. I think that sounds great. We went to Europe for two of the last three weeks of my maternity leave with our 3 month old

Would you take your 3 month old to Mexico? This is assuming she was born healthy, has had all of her shots and no major complications or illnesses to date for either mom or baby.
