yes I was going to suggest Massanutten. Rent a house from an owner, and you can do the water park and/or swimming pool, plus there is horseback riding, petting zoo, adventure park, etc. in the vicinity.

Not the beach but Massanuten would probably work. Check out home rentals on vrbo or other sites like it.

Maybe Williamsburg, VA or even some Chesapeake Beach area homes.

Looking to travel for 3/4 weeks in August with family. Would need to take our dog with us so would need to be within 5-7 hours of driving distance from DC area. Been searching everything from beach houses in Delaware to Outer Banks, Deep Creek, NYC.... any ideas....ideally need a 2-3 bedroom home close to activities for kids and dog friendly. Would spend between $3,000-6,000 for the month (hoping to stay closer to $3,000 though!) TIA!!
