They made our townhouse look gorgeous. I didn't even realize what a difference it made until I looked at a friend's listing... two similar places but ours looked so much better. And just an FYI we worked with Betty Desourdis and she is absolutely wonderful. Seriously, she will NOT be outclassed (as another pp stated).

OP here, thanks to everyone for responding. This is the information that I want to hear. It sounds like Redfin is a great option. Why give away your money when you don't have too!

P.S. Yes, it sounds like the traditional real estate industry needs to evolve.

OP you should interview the redfin and the regular agent. I was the pp who sold with Redfin and this is how I chose. I interviewed both. The Redfin agent actually had more benefits than the Keller Williams agent I interviewed. Other real estate companies will pawn you off on their newer, less experienced agents unless you're selling a million dollar+ home. Also my Redfin listed house sold for a few thousand under list price when other homes in my neighborhood sat for a month+.

Lower commission is about it. Of course, you get what you pay for.

Hi there REALTOR!

Sick of the anti-redfin bashing. If you can't come up with specific's than STFU.

Redfin does heavily rely on technology and your listing will appear with a redfin logo on the website.

Realtors need to come out of the 80s.

Your Redfin agent will take photos on an iPhone. Professional real estate agents will hire a professional photographer. There's one specific.

There's no Redfin bashing here. On the contrary there seems to be a bizarre amount of Redfin cheerleading, which seems to give the impression that it's either gaining market share (it's not) or otherwise a good deal (it may be for some people, but not many).

You are right, the redfin agent did take pictures and videos with his iphone so that my friend didn't have to go to each house when travelling.

Why must you lie? It just makes traditional agents seem like scum bags and liars. You are only hurting yourself.

NO! Did you actually use redfin?!?! I used them this spring and had a pro photographer that spent hours photographing my house. You absolutely have no idea what you're talking about.

Link to the house you sold. I smell stale socks.

OK I sold recently with Redfin. They did have flashy marketing materials! Actually they did absolutely everything my previous real estate agent did on past homes. Pro photographer, interactive tour and a floor plan were also included. I thought their marketing was BETTER than the full price realtors. I went into it thinking that I would have to do more legwork, but nope I didn't.

I love their website and use of technology too. Docusign rocks!!!

^FWIW, All of the Redfin homes I've seen listed (an for full disclosure this is in the West Springfield area) used professional photography and provided a layout.

Hi there REALTOR!

No. Just an experienced buyer and seller. Every Redfin agent I've encountered has been outclassed by their competition.

Also, your lame retort that anyone who criticizes Redfin must be an agent is extremely tiresome. As has been pointed out to you countless times before. You need a new schtick.
