I don't think that's true when you're at a place with stats as low as Shady Grove's. For some reason, 50% of their cycles fail, that is not because 50% or even 20% who go there have immune issues. Half of people in the 1:3 share don't even have anything to freeze after transfer. . . contrast with RBA where people regularly have blasts to freeze. I think SG's donor screening is crap, as well as their protocols for recipients.

I know women who succeeded on the 3rd or 4th transfer with DE. It's not usual but can happen. Especially if you have bad luck with donors.

One thing I highly recommend is going luten free for the next transfer. It worked for a friend who succeeded on the 4th try, the one where she went strictly paleo in preparation.

PP here. Dr. Widra doesn't think immune issues are at play, but I've had a consult w/ Dr. Abbasi and will move on to her next if I'm not successful this go-around.

I am the poster you responded to. Dr Abbasi is awesome. She is the only one in the area who would test for immune issues and incorporate immune treatment into cycles. I know SG does not belive in immune testing, thats why i left them myself. In your case, since you used the same donnor for 3 cycles, its hard to say if the eggs were an issue, but given that your donnor was young and healty, it is hard to ignore the possibility that there is something else impacting your cycles.

I'm 32 weeks pregnant from my first donor cycle. I was in a 1:3 split at Shady Grove. If I remember correctly the share was 11 eggs, 9 were mature. Out of the 9 mature 7 fertilized normally. 5 made it to blast. Transferred 1 and froze 4.

Success on first try at SG. DC is now 5yo.

I'm a numbers person, so I just did the math. Say there is a 50% success rate (there are clinics that are much higher, but they are more expensive). So I figured, one transfer = 50%, two transfers = 75%, three transfers = 87.5%, etc. But you can't count the cycles you don't get to transfer. I figured I wouldn't give up before six transfers, when I should have had a 95+ chance of success.

How many donor cycles did it take? I had 1st donor cycle canceled. Donor didn't produce. Second cycle now... in 2ww. But if this doesn't work, I have frozen then nothing else. So not sure I can handle picking a third donor. What has everyone's experience been?
