We stayed at the Spring Hill Suites and LOVED it! We didn't feel the need for a full kitchenette, they provided a micro-fridge, our suite was spacious, and loved that it was a 5 minute walk. We planned on spending most of our time at SP and not in the hotel room. We only have one child (2 y/o), so maybe if you have a large number of children you would want more space? The hotel was clean, quiet, and wonderful (front desk woman gave DD Cookie Monster cookies).

We purchased tickets online before they opened this season, and got 2extra day to play for $43. We went last month for DD's bday and will go in August when she has a few days off daycare. On their site it's now $43 for one day and $58 for 2, but I think the groupon only has the same deal we got prior to the park opening this year.

We had a great time last month, it was cooler so no water rides for us (they were open and had a few takers), but still not very long lines, place was clean, but they didn't have Cookie's section open yet (we say them testing the rides though). The best part was breakfast with Elmo. It got us into the park early and DD was in awe of meeting her favorite characters - literally we've never seen her so excited, it was awesome. Being 2 she could still ride a lot of things, and did (and loved it all).

All that being said we were told when we were leaving that it was a "light" day, only 5k people, so others will definitely have a different experience. We're going back end of August during the week which should help (hopefully a lot of kids are back in school), and we're hoping to try some water rides and maybe see a show. If you have young children it's absolutely worth it.

Book through the Sesame site and get a hotel package.

I reccommend Marriott Residence Inn. All hotels nearby are budget hotels but with this one you get a kitchenette and a separate bedroom which as we all know helps when you travel with kids.

There is a van to take you back and forth to the park, it is a 7 min ride MAX. There is also a super bargain Marriott right across the street (I think Spring hill suites). These are not suites and not worth it. We did this last time and though we could walk across the street we sorely missed the space in the residence inn.

Have you ever been? I don't recommend. It is the same clientele as Six Flags America. It was awful.
