I loved the Hunger Games trilogy, Maze Runner, Crossed/Matched/Reached, etc... I know there's more, but my iPad isn't in front of me. I have 4 hours on a plane Saturday so hoping to find a new series! Individual books are okay, but I like getting to really know the characters and find a series (at least 3 books, more is great).

Other types of books I enjoy are the Love at Stake by Kerrelyn Sparks, Divine Series by PC Cast (also her goddess summoning), Harry Potter, Books 1-10 of Sookie Stackhouse, Divergent-Insurgent (allegiant was just plain wrong), The Storm & Succubus Series by Richelle Mead, The Study and Storm Series by Snyder...

Wow, you really have a hankering for bad lit. Hunger Games? Shudder.

Best book you can read is The Stand, by Stephen King. The Road is good, too.

Why do you have to be a critic. And a jerk besides.

+1 on The Handmaid's Tale

Also Oryx and Crake/The Year of the Flood/MaddAddam - not a traditional trilogy but they all go together. I haven't read them all yet but you can't go wrong with Margaret Atwood.

Not sure if they're available in the US yet (published in the uk), but Monica Hesse of the Washington Post has written a couple of YA novels that seem to fit into the dystopian framework. I enjoy her writing about other things so I'd give them a read.

I really got into that at first, but then I got so bored in the middle and haven't picked it up since. Does it get better?
