Any chance you're interesting in becoming a law enforcement officer? You'd start at a pretty low level but you could move up and probably be in management based on your background. Customs and Border Protection (part of DHS) is looking for officers (on the Customs side of the house) who speak Arabic.

Many Arabic speaking k-12 students in U.S. schools these days. I'd imagine that Education could use someone to work on publications and general outreach. A friend from grad school is a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and she got a job doing outreach based on that language.

If you are clearable, you could try the security agencies, starting with TSA, FBI... there are a few.

So I thought that I would ask this here. I am an Arabic speaker, I'm not quite at a native level and I'm not a linguist either, but I have pretty decent fluency at reading, writing, and speaking. I also have a JD. I have found a few positions here and there that I'm a good match for, and I've applied to them, but I'm just going to throw this out there because there may be some random government agency that I haven't heard of. I would like to give more detail about my qualifications, but DCUM has a few crazies so I won't.
