I buy 5lb bags from salt trader. I just keep it in the ziplock it came in. Lasted about 3 yrs.

Put it in a jar with a rubber seal (one of those large ones you can store pasta or beans in). It'll otherwise absorb atmospheric moisture and clump up

I just bought a 5lb bag of salt. I was thinking of storing it in a jar and then have some in a little bowl on the counter for cooking. What do you think? What do you do?
